The Convention was opened by The City’s First Citizen and Lord Mayor, Cllr Erica Kemp, who said this was a great initiative and a unique opportunity for Liverpool to host some great and powerful women and men from around the globe. She also had a 10 minutes private meeting with HRM Queen Naa Tsotsoo Soyoo I of Ga kingdom of Ghana, to discuss about the historic city of Liverpool and personally thank her for visiting.This exclusive and highly empowering event was one of the most prestigious events during the International Festival for Business, and empowered delegates by choosing the theme “Empowering Nations” and sharing best empowerment models, strategies and practices.The first session was chaired by Adeline Sede Kamga, CEO and founder of FabAfriq Magazine and the Global Secretary of Global Visionary Women Network (GVWN). On the panel were: Dr Sylvia Forchap Likambi, Founder & CEO of Voice of Nations and Founder & Global Chair of GVWN. She shared the Voice of Nations Transformational Empowerment Model; HRH Queen Naa Tsotsoo Soyoo I of Ga Kingdom of Ghana, who shared the Ghana Female Economic Empowerment Model. Also present were, Maggie O’Carroll, Co-Founder & CEO of The Women's Organisation, who shared their successful model and finally Molly Harvey, Founder of Molly Harvey Global, who discussed about The Culture Change & Leadership Empowerment Model. Unlike most conventions, the GVWN made it possible for the speakers to engage with the delegates through Q & A, workshops and Master Classes.More empowerment strategies were delivered through Keynote speeches from Ewa Sadowska, CEO & Director of Barka UK, who did a great presentation of The Barka Social Empowerment Model, and Stephanie R. Dawkins, 1st African American Senior Vice President of AB Volvo, International Executive Speaker, Author at Stephanie R. Dawkins International, who inspired with a bright strategy on “The Power of Self-motivation & Empowerment Models” After lunch, delegates had the pleasure of being motivated and inspired by another set of award winning leaders. Katherine Corich, Founder & Global Chair of Sysdoc, discussed The “Global Transformational” Business Leadership Model, while Muzvare Betty Makoni, CNN Hero and Founder & CEO of The Girl Child Network Worldwide, inspired with her true life story and The Girl Child Network Worldwide Empowerment Model.After tears and laughter from Betty Makoni, Dr Annie Lim continued with the Core of Feminine Energy - Heart & Soul Empowerment Model which was followed by The Debate and Way Forward (Transformational Leadership - Global Transformation Vs Global Oppression) Chaired by Dr Sylvia Forchap Likambi.After a successful daytime event, the evening could not have been any better. The dinner gala was hosted at the Liverpool City Marriott Hotel, where soprano singers, April Koyejo and David Gilbey (Bass- Baritone) moved our guests with La crème de la Crème. It was coated with the finest fashion collection showcased by our International designer Erma Olierhoek and Patty Fashion, who wowed our guests with state of the art pieces.GVWN Founder and Global Chair, Dr Sylvia Forchap Likambi and Global Secretary Adeline Sede Kamga awarded 4 extraordinary women with special recognition awards. Dr Forchap Likambi, also presented the Little Angels Foundation Orphanage (A charity in Cameroon which offers better life chances and opportunities to orphans).
