Voice of Nations CIC Secures £75,000 Lloyds Bank Racial Equality Fund to Advance Equity, Opportunity and Community Empowerment Across Liverpool
Voice of Nations CIC is delighted to announce that we have been awarded £75,000 over three years from the highly competitive Lloyds Bank Foundation Racial Equity Fund. This significant investment marks a major milestone in our mission to tackle racial inequality, empower marginalised communities, and ensure that Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) women, girls and families across Liverpool have the opportunities, confidence and support they need to rebuild, grow and thrive.
The funding will strengthen and expand our specialist programmes, including:
- Culturally responsive mentorship and coaching
- Employability and enterprise development support
- Wellbeing, confidence-building and trauma-informed interventions
- Digital inclusion and life-skills development
- Capacity building for young BAME leaders and peer mentors
Over the next three years, Voice of Nations will use this investment to deepen our work with BAME communities facing long-term inequality, systemic barriers, and social and economic exclusion. The grant will enable us to scale our transformational programmes, increase one-to-one support, and build organisational capacity so we can reach more people experiencing disadvantage or discrimination.
Dr. Sylvia Forchap-Likambi, Founder and CEO of Voice of Nations CIC, said:
“We are honoured to receive this funding from the Lloyds Bank Foundation. This funding is a profound investment not only in Voice of Nations, but in the hundreds of women, girls, young people and families we support across Liverpool. It strengthens our capacity to empower those who are too often overlooked, enabling them rebuild confidence, overcome barriers, unlock their hidden potential, and step into the lives they truly deserve and are capable of. With this support, we can continue transforming futures and tackling racial inequality in Liverpool and beyond, one life, one story, and one family at a time.”
The Lloyds Bank Foundation Racial Equity Fund supports organisations led by and for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities that are delivering long-term, meaningful change. This award recognises Voice of Nations’ strong track record of delivering high-impact community programmes, our leadership in culturally competent support, and our unwavering dedication to empowering those who face multiple disadvantages.
Voice of Nations would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Lloyds Bank Foundation for believing in our vision and for partnering with us in this important work.
